Last chance for analyzing the colors for the prerelease.
First, we need to see what we get from the prerelease.
- 2 Journey into Nyx booster packs
- 1 Born of the Gods booster packs
- 2 Theros booster packs
- 1 seeded booster pack
- 1 promo card
We have three Journey into Nyx, one of them seeded. These is the set to take in consideration to chose your colors.
You get just one Born of the Gods booster don't chose your color base on these set.
Theros is the first set of the block and is a big one. I would take in consideration de comons in these set, because your chances of getting a rare or mythic of your chosen color is really low.
Be wise at the time of chosing your color 85% of the players that chose a color you get a good rare a random rare and it guarantees that you will have enough cards in that color to play it. Is not write I'm stone you can play other colors and don't even play the one you chose but your deck could be a little weak
White
White is an aggressive color in both Therosand Born of the Gods. It's awesome in draft because you chose and pick but in Sealed you get a seeded booster that can have a lot of randomness.
Removal spells: Banishing Light and Reprisal, good at getting read of the big problems.
The promo, Dawnbringer Charioteers, is realy good. White is realy aggressive is the promo that you can cast faster, life link, flying and heroic.
Blue
For me blue is just a support color. Don't have bestow or big creatures as white or green. But has bounce cards and neat tricks.
Bounce is very good for blue is clearly the best approach for the color and prevalent in this set.
The promo, Scourge of Fleets, depends on the lands but is very powerful. When you cast it you could have at least three blue manas. So you can make a finish or big attack, getting rid of potential blockers.
Black
As a control color in Theros and control aggro on Journey into Nyx. Is a solid splash and control color.
Note that there are less black mana symbols in the black cards.
The promo card, Doomwake Giant, is good. 4/6 for 5 but you can get a lot from his ability, because you need a lot of resource and mana. Not the best promo.
Red
In Theros, red is weak, in Journey to Nyx, you have Magma Spray a common that could do the difference.
The red promo, Spawn of Thraxes, is a playable card, but the throw back of the card is that you spend 7 manas for a 5/5 that kills a small creature or deals a limit amout of damage.
Green
Theros Green three choises green/white, green/black or green/blue. A lot of players don't see simic like a real deck to play on sealed but the bounce whit big creatures sounds like a great idea.
The promo, Heroes' Bane, good card, these creature can get realy fast out of control it's a 4/4 that can become bigger for 4 manas.
